We are a group of ice hockey referees who provide officiating services for local youth, junior, high school club, NYSPHSAA,
college club, and adult organizations throughout the Hudson Valley and surrounding areas.
Our Mission:
We desire to support the growth and development of ice hockey by providing officiating services & training
and development of ice hockey officials.
Our History:
MHHOA was formed in the late 1960's by six parents that began officiating their children's ice hockey games. They were
led to join the American Hockey Association of the US (now USA Hockey) by Fred Leahy and Dick Flint. Dick secured affiliation
with the National Ice Hockey Officials Association (NIHOA) in 1977.
Officials from MHHOA have worked all levels of the NYSAHA State Championships, SECHL Collegiate Championships,
MCHC Championships, NY Empire State Games, NYSPHSAA Championships, and USA Hockey National Championships.
