NO GAME SWAPS ARE ALLOWED WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL BY THE ASSIGNOR.
A
Referee or Linesmen may work any game regardless of member affiliation however, you
may not work a game where a relative is playing or coaching in.
A REFEREE OR LINESMEN WHO APPEARS FOR A SCHEDULED GAME WHICH IS CANCELED, WILL BE PAID
ONLY IF THEY DO THE FOLLOWING:
Call the assignor within 24 hrs, and then submit
a VOUCHER FORM
II. SCORE SHEETS:
1. All officials
must PRINT their name and indicate whether they were the Referee or Linesmen, at the top of the sheet.
2. Check that
the Date and Game number are in the proper boxes.
3. Check that
the sheet was properly filled out. (Names and numbers are required for all goals, assists & penalties).
4. Check that
all penalty times are correct. Minor, Major, etc.
5. Place an
(*) next to any Game or Match penalty. A Game Report may be necessary. (See Game Reports).
6. Have the
Game Supervisor obtain all signatures. Coaches, Score Keeper's and Game Supervisors.
7. Make sure
that YOU, as the referee or referees sign the score sheet.
8. You are to
receive the GOLDENROD copy of the score sheet.
9. THE HOME ORGANIZATION WILL FORWARD THE SCORESHEET TO THE LEAGUE.
10. NO ONE, including the Referee, Coach or Game Supervisor is allowed to place any other notes or messages on the
score sheet, except a notation that the game ended with time left on the clock. (e.g. Game ended with 5:09 left in the 3rd
period due to injury or out of time).
VOUCHERS
Voucher
Forms are to be filled out and brought to the Game Supervisor for their signature before each game. If there is no Game Supervisor
present prior to the start of the game, the form is sent to the league with a notation in the Game Supervisor box stating
that. Voucher Forms are to be sent to the league within 3 days of the game.
III. GAME REPORTS: (REQUIRED
FOR THE FOLLOWING):
1. ALL MATCH PENALTIES. PUT ON New York State MATCH FORM
2. ANY MAJOR PENALTY FOR KICKING,
SPEARING, BUTT ENDING OR HEAD BUTTING.
3. ANY PENALTY TO A COACH, OTHER
THAN A BENCH MINOR.
4. ANY PENALTY UNDER RULE 601,
ABUSE OF OFFICIALS, WHICH REQUIRES A SUSPENSION.
5. ANY PENALTY WHICH OCCURS AFTER
THE GAME.
6. ANY SPECTATOR OR CROWD CONTROL
PROBLEM.
** IN ALL OF THE ABOVE CIRCUMSTANCES**

CALL TO THE REFEREE IN CHIEF IS REQUIRED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE GAME AND THE LIAHL
GAME REPORT MUST BE COMPLETED AND e-mailed
TO THE REFEREE IN CHIEF WITHIN 48 HOURS OF THE GAME (ALL MATCH PENALTIES are put on the NYS FORM.) e-mail address: dicapj@aol.com: sharkssi@aol.com
Game Reports are only accepted by the League via e-mail. No faxes.
IV. PAYCHECKS:
Referee
and Linesmen paychecks will be mailed every 4-6 weeks by the League Treasurer, based upon the vouchers received. Any pay discrepancies
will be handled by the assignor and then reported to the Referee In Chief
All Officials are required to have a W-9 on file with the league in order to receive a paycheck. 1099 forms
will be issued as per IRS laws.
Each assignor
will receive 5% of each game fee, which will be deducted from each check. Along with your check you will receive a listing
of the games worked, game #, age level, game fee and/or fines.
LIAHL
If no Referee
shows, the Linesmen shall work the 2-MAN SYSTEM and they will each be paid the Referee fee.
