Meetings moved

We have moved our meetings to the MID HUDSON CIVIC CENTER. I'm sure we all know where that is. Our first meeting is 9/16/02. All meetings will begin at 7pm. We expect them not to exceed 1 1/2 hours in length. Attendance is mandatory at all meeting for every level. Attendance will be taken, and fines assessed to those who are absent.

At the first meeting officials who are 18 yrs of age or younger are required to bring their parent.

Meeting dates are: 9/16/02,10/21/02,1/13/03. Please note there was a "typo" in the original email I sent regarding dates. The dates listed here are correct.

Senior League News

Ice Time Sports Senior League has instituted new rules to be enforced immediately. I have only published the rules that pertain to MHHOA. They are as follows:

League rules-------on-ice penalties

FIGHTING

ABUSE OF OFFICIALS INTENT TO INJURE IF A PLAYER TAKES FOUR PENALTIES IN ONE GAME HE/SHE WILL BE REMOVED FROM THAT GAME.  THIS IS NOT A GAME MISCONDUCT, THEREFORE WILL NOT CARRY OVER TO THE NEXT GAME.

We have received written notification of these rules. All MHHOA officials refereeing in the MENS LEAGUE AT ICE TIME, are expected to know and enforce these rules.

Independent Contractors Agreement

Each year every MHHOA official must read and sign the Independent contractor agreement. This will be in your orientation package. In an attempt to speed things along I am attaching a printable copy of the ICA to this newsletter. The file name is MHHOA_Contractor_Prt.html . Please download, print, sign, and bring it to our first meeting 9/16/02.

If you do not have it, or are not at the meeting the ICA must be USPS mail to:

Tony Janicik
4004 Cherry Hill Dr.
Poughkeepsie, NY 12603

If you have any newsworthy items, or articles of interest please forward them to: Whistle19@att.net . I am looking for other writers to contribute to the newsletter. The time I have to devote to this has been severely curtailed, without input from other members and/or articles written by other members this newsletter will get very short. I am also looking for "help" in coming up with the "Question of the Month", if you have one....forward it to me and I'll get it on the website.
